Neither the reason of death nor the boy's age were disclosed by Smiley. Smiley requested prayers for himself and his family as he was ready to head to the airport.
Smiley stated, "I just want all my cousins and other family members to pray, be brave, and I'm OK. Pray for my son's mother, my son's siblings, and anyone else who was Brandon's child.
The "Dish Nation" alum spoke about his personal pain and made references to other family tragedies, though he didn't go into detail regarding Brandon's death.
Smiley replied, "Now I understand what my granddaddy went through and why he felt the way he felt. "My granddaddy experienced this (crap) with my father, and now, somehow, here I am experiencing the same thing as my grandparents. Just think of our family and pray."
The comments area of Smiley's video was inundated with encouragement from several of his well-known acquaintances.
Smiley has already spoken openly about going through difficult times with his family. Smiley revealed that his youngest daughter Aaryn was shot in a purported act of road rage in July 2020.
