Electrolysis is the process that splits water molecules into (H+) and (OH-) ions, resulting in tiny microbubbles filling the basin.
This electrolyzed water creates an alkaline environment, and along with the existing chlorine in your tap water, breaks the benzene ring, or the molecular structure of chemical pesticides rendering them into harmless non-toxic substances easily washed away with water.
Don’t have chlorine in your water?
No problem! Just add a teaspoon of table salt. Salt is sodium chloride after all.
Gotta Love Science!
Despite how convenient they seem, produce washes and sprays have been tested to be ineffective at removing pesticides. They even tend to leave residues behind, so the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recommends not to use them.
The Garrnish Pesticide Purifier is both effective and easy to use. Simply fill the basin with water, add your produce and turn it on. All you have to do is give it a stir once in a while!
Each spring, the Environmental Working Group (EWG) publishes a list of produce that experts at the nonprofit say contain elevated levels of pesticides that may be concerning.

After working on air purification products for the past 8 years, we wanted to focus on other aspects of human health. Food has always been an obsession of ours, but the abundance of pollutants in our food, specifically chemical pesticides, worries us deeply.
In California, we’re blessed with easily accessible organic foods, but many have still been tested to contain pesticides. Conventional produce can contain up to 50 different types of pesticides on a single fruit.
Just Google “pesticides on blueberries”! The US uses 85 different pesticides that are outlawed in many other countries in Europe.
We couldn’t settle with that being the status quo. To us food is personal, and food should be nourishing.
After years of hard work, we’re so proud to launch the Garrnish Pesticide Purifier.

After years of research and development, we wanted to forgo the time-consuming route of distribution to retail shops, and get our pesticide purifiers directly into your hands. With your help, we can skip the middleman, and make this new technology more affordable, allowing us to make the biggest impact possible.
This is our 2nd project with Kickstarter. As of today, we've already produced 16 purifier prototypes, so there won’t be a manufacturing risk. In fact, we’ll begin the manufacturing process even before the Kickstarter campaign is over, so that we can start shipping your pesticide purifiers out ASAP. The campaign will help us get a ball-park figure of how many units we’ll need to make.
